NOTICE to HACP Residents
Federal Regulations require that the Housing Authority of the City of Pittsburgh conduct an annual review of the Utility Allowance for its Low-Income Public Housing Program to ensure that the Utility Allowance reflects current utility consumption and rate charges. This year’s review has resulted in an increase of the Utility Allowance for eligible Low Income Public Housing units.
The new rates take effect on May 1, 2012. These rates will be as follows:
High Rise Communities (effective at annual re-certification)
0-Bedroom (efficiency) – $35.00
1-Bedroom – $35.00
Family Communities

The HACP will accept public comments beginning on March 1, 2012, at 8 a.m. and ending on March 31, 2012, at 5 p.m. Comments can be sent to the Operations Department at 200 Ross St., 6th floor, Pittsburgh, PA 15219. Any comments received after the deadline will not be accepted.
