Opening of Mellon’s Orchard Waiting List

Effective Friday, October 16, 2020, at 8:00 a.m., the Housing Authority of the City of Pittsburgh (HACP) will open the waiting list for the following Project Based Voucher Site Based Community:

• Mellon’s Orchard – (one (1) and two (2) bedroom only) – 5820 Station Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15206.

Not all households will be eligible for a one (1) or two (2) bedroom unit, as the age, gender and relationships of household members affect the number of bedrooms for which a household is eligible. Income and eligibility restrictions of the Housing Choice Voucher Program apply.

Pre-applications for Mellon’s Orchard will be accepted online ONLY at www.hacp.org and can be submitted from any computer, laptop or smartphone with internet access. No pre-applications will be accepted before 8:00 a.m., Friday, October 16, 2020. Printed pre-applications will not be available at any of the HACP properties or offices. Beginning at  8:00 a.m., Friday, October 16, 2020, applications may be submitted at: https://hacp.myhousing.com/ 

Position on the waiting list will be determined based upon date and time the completed pre-application is accepted by the on-line system.

Persons with disabilities requiring accommodations to submit a pre-application can contact the HACP’s Disability Compliance Office at 412-456-5282. For those that are deaf or hard of hearing, you can also contact HACP at TDD: 412-201-5384.

This event is for Project Based Vouchers for Mellon’s Orchard ONLY and is completely separate from the HACP Housing Choice Voucher and Low Income Public Housing Programs.

CLOSING OF WAITING LISTS 

Effective Friday, October 23, 2020, at 12:00 p.m., the HACP will close the following Project Based Voucher Program waiting lists:

• Elmer Williams Square
• Kelly Hamilton Homes
• Lofts at Bentley
• Middle Hill Homes
• Skyline Terrace

No pre-applications will be accepted for these waiting lists after the closing date and time. Pre-applications for these waiting lists can be obtained from the HACP web site or by calling 412-456-5030. Completed pre-applications can be submitted using one of the following methods: *Email to: Occupancy@hacp.org, *Fax to: 412-456-5182 or *Mail to, or utilize the drop box at: HACP Occupancy Department, 100 Ross Street, 4th Floor, Pittsburgh, PA 15219.

Public Notice will be provided when the HACP determines to re-open these waiting lists.
