Temporary Section 3 Positions:

Demolition/Site Prep Workers:

Some demolition experience in the construction field. Ability to conduct all heavy lifting and very conscious of the surrounding area. Having an OSHA 10 or 30 certifications is a plus

Drivers license is a preference but will not eliminate from the job requirements.

Laborer to Carpenters:

Any experience working in the Carpentry industrial. Measuring and able to do work in a fast environment.  Heavy lifting is a requirement and not fear of any heights

Flooring Technician looking for a Laborer:

Some construction work is a plus. Must be able to perform heavy lifting. Person will assist Floor Technician with all handling of material to lay floors throughout the construction property, cleaning the surrounding flooring area and able to conduct safety measures.

Preferably morning shift and hours are depending upon construction schedule.

Painter looking for a Laborer:

Laborer will handle all materials for the painter, prepping and laying down materials for painters to perform duties on all shifts. There will be no painting involved unless Contractor see fits.  Laborers will clean up all materials and debris once painting is completed.

Shifts may occur once contractor is ready to conduct painting for units finished according construction schedule.

Drywall Workers

Person should have the skills of hanging and finishing residential drywall.  Measuring ability is paramount for this position. Heavy lifting is necessary having your own tools is a plus for the company.

Landscaper looking for a Laborer:

Landscaping experience on a construction site is always good. Ability to work in bad weather, able to walk and drive to the various length of construction site to plant various plants or flowers. Hard worker able to perform heavy lifting.

Trades Program Workshop

Security Officers.

OSA GLOBAL, LLC provides Armed and Unarmed security officers. Officers need a high school diploma, social security card, and be able to pass a drug screen and criminal background check. Armed Officers need Act235 Lethal Weapon Training.  Unarmed and School Security officers need Acts 33, and 34 and Child Abuse Clearance. We will give all qualified individuals additional extensive training on all positions that they are hired for.

Assistant Construction Inspector

The roles and responsibilities of the Assistant Construction Inspector will include, but not be limited to, the following job responsibilities:

  • Monitor construction progress on-site and report any issues or concerns to the Construction Inspector;
  • Monitor all personnel on-site comply with PPE and all safety requirements established in Project Safety Plan;
  • Take daily progress photos and provide to Construction Inspector at the end of each day;
  • Conduct inspections with Construction Inspector to ensure the contractors are performing the work in accordance with the contract documents, drawings, specifications, and local, State, and Federal regulations;
  • Monitor and perform regular check on all contractor and inspector work progress and maintain knowledge on all project requirements;
  • Ensure optimal level of customer services always and maintain effective relationships with all employees and officials;
  • Ensures that all project areas are properly cleaned up after completion and at the end of each day; and
  • Attends all construction meetings and company meetings/teleconferences as required.

Requirements:

At least 18 Years of Age
High School Diploma or GED
Valid PA Driver’s License

Physical requirements include arm and hand steadiness and finger dexterity
enough to use a calculator and telephone; occasional lifting up to 60 pounds; may be subject to walking over rough terrain, standing, sitting, reaching, balancing, bending, kneeling, handling, feeling, climbing, smelling, and twisting; and vision, speech, and hearing sufficient to perform the essential tasks.

Can read, write, and speak the English language well enough to comprehend instructions on the job, in related training classes and to ensure personal and co-worker safety on the job.

Ability to pass drug testing and background investigation.

Must successfully complete OSHA training upon hire

Must wear proper PPE (provided) to include hard-hat, eye and ear protection, safety vest, steel-toed safety shoes and conform to company dress code (i.e. properly fitted work pants or khaki slacks, and collared shirt) when on the job-site

Must be able to work Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm

Responsibilities:

* Rotate products in the backroom and on the shelf

* Keep back room stock in neat and orderly condition

Community Empowerment Association training programs is for those with little or no experience in the construction trades who want to begin a career as a Construction Laborer. This program is nine (9) weeks with a combination of 91 hours total of Classroom instruction and 40 hours of applied experience.

It is comprised of several levels of instruction which allows trainees to perform many of the types of construction worked performed by Laborers, such as demo work, assisting carpenters, tool and material set up and site clean up.

Upon completion of this session, participants should be prepared to:

HACP Driver’s Education Form
Please fill out the following form for your residents if they are interested in the Drivers Education Program. This will help in case I’m out of the office and unavailable, this form will also keep a track of all the referrals for drivers education. Our goal is to expedite the referral process for our residents.

Residents must have the following to qualify for the Driver’s Education Program.

• All candidates must possess a current valid Pennsylvania driver’s permit to enter the driver’s training program.
• All driving students must be a resident in the Housing Authority City of Public Housing, Section 8 or Scattered site.
• Must be a participant of the Family Self Sufficiency (FSS)/ Resident Employment Program (REP) and assigned to a Service Coordinator.
• All candidates must show the proper identification to prove 19yrs of age and older.
