Bedford Dwellings to Host Community Cookout in Recognition of Opportunity for $20,000 Playground Grant

The Housing Authority of the City of Pittsburgh (HACP) is hosting a free community cookout at the Bedford Hope Center today in recognition of Bedford Dwellings’ qualification for KaBoom’s the Let’s Play Video Contest. Bedford Dwellings’ was one of 10 communities selected as a finalist for a $20,000 grant that will be used to fund the construction of a new playground onsite at the Beford Hope Center, 2305 Bedford Ave., Pittsburgh, PA. 

The cookout will be held on Tuesday, June 20, 2017, at 3:30 p.m., at the Bedford Hope Center, 2305 Bedford Ave., Pittsburgh. Come and enjoy food, music, and family activities! The cookout will promote Bedford Dwellings’ qualification for the Let’s Play Video Contest – winning entries will be determined by voting conducted via social media, with the top five vote-getters each receiving $20,000 playground grants.
